Well, duh. Everybody has their personal filters, those who think they don't are kidding themselves. In my favor, the bulk of the scientific consensus is on my side. For you and Ali...

Despite your innuendo, the scientific community is pretty resistant to fads. Just look at polywater and cold fusion. Both got a lot of interest, and both petered out in a matter of months because of the problems with duplicating the results. If it was just a matter of getting grant money, both would still be going strong because they held important implications if true. Especially cold fusion. The implications of cheap and easy fusion are just outstanding. But, it just isn't the case.
