Tahera rearranges some directors and management

Mr. Grant Ewing reports

Tahera has appointed of the following persons as directors of the
corporation at its annual and special meeting of shareholders:
Robert R.B. Dickson
Dov Farkas
Maxwell Gotlieb
Joseph Gutnick
Patrick Lavelle
Stephan P. Meyer
Paul M. Stein
Following the shareholders' meeting, the board of directors appointed Mr.
Gutnick as president and chief executive officer, replacing Howard Miller.
Mr. Gutnick will also continue to serve as executive chairman of the board
of directors.
Subsequent to the shareholders meeting, Jonathan Goodman resigned as a
director of the corporation. Tahera would like to thank Mr. Goodman, John
Kearney, Paul Carroll and Mr. Miller for their contributions as directors
of the corporation.
Prior to today's meeting, Victor Wells, the vice-president finance,
administration and chief financial officer, advised management of Tahera
that he had accepted another employment opportunity effective June 30,
2001. Mr. Wells has been a valuable member of the Tahera's management team
and the company wishes him well with his future endeavours. Tahera intends
to promote Andrew Gottwald, Tahera's controller, to the position of
vice-president finance upon Mr. Wells's departure.
At the shareholders' meeting, Mr. Gutnick announced that Tahera will
complete a strategic review of its operations and investigate the
possibility of entering into further joint ventures with major mining
companies on its projects, with a view to enhancing shareholder value
