1. I refused to see Immortal Beloved (my wife wanted to, I told her to see it sometime when I was on a business trip).

2. Waldstein's most radical movement is first movement. It is probably the first piece of music to start in the subdominant (4th) and move to the tonic. Then it only stays in tonic for a second and takes off, changes keys. Have a listen. Considered totally bizarre at the time.

3. No official studies, just a hobby of mine since I was about 12. When I was younger, my tastes went to the bombastic stuff such as the Ring, now I'm more balanced. Also studied classical guitar for some time. I like some modern stuff too, esp Peter Gabriel (early is best), Alanis M., Tori Amos (Little Earthquakes!), Led Zep, Police.
