Thanks Nick! ------------ C-Cube Microsystems, Toshiba Unveil DVD PC Playback Sys>CUBE 05/11/98 Dow Jones News Service (Copyright (c) 1998, Dow Jones & Company, Inc.) MILPITAS, Calif. (Dow Jones)--C-Cube Microsystems Inc. (CUBE) unveiled ZiVA-PC, a single-chip digital videodisc playback system it designed with Toshiba Corp. (J.TOS) for notebooks and desktop personal computers. In a press release Monday, C-Cube said the product allows users to play interactive titles as well as movies at the same time other tasks take place on the computer. ZiVA-PC also has on-chip color, contrast and brightness controls that allow control of the video window image independently of the graphic display settings. ZiVA-PC will be available in volume production units in June for $22 in high volume. C-Cube develops and delivers integrated digital video silicon programs. (END) DOW JONES NEWS 05-11-98 10:55 AM
