Jerritt Canyon Mine It's come up a couple of times recently and I've been dismissive of First Majestic acquiring it... Ran across this today.... which, at the end of the article, has links to additional Jerritt Canyon articles... so, up to speed now on the story... Canadian billionaire buys Jerritt Canyon Basically, Jerritt Canyon had earned a bad reputation as a perennial loser because it was mismanaged. Sprott bought it out of Veris's (Queenstake's) BK... had Greg Gibson sort it out... and Greg got it cleaned up, got it running right, and made it profitable in short order... and back in 2015 - 2016 that was no small feat... So, not a reason to be a skeptic now on Sprott doing them a favor by giving First Majestic the Jerritt Canyon mine... as part of "the backup plan"... which is when diversification works best... when the geopolitical risk makers know you've got options... and are willing to shut down a mine rather than submit to that particular sort of bureaucratic BS.
