In a speech this morning to the CPAC gathering in Washington, former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum explained that in 2004, his wife advised him against endorsing Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey in the Republican primary there. We all know that he did endorse his Senate colleague, however. This morning he humbly admitted: "I should have listened to my wife." He says he's working to make up for that by working for Toomey "day and night" this time around.
