Hi Charley,

I agree with you about Clinton's acknowledgement of Gerry Adams. It was a brave thing to do and the right thing to do.

FWIW, Gerry Adams is married to a Kennedy (Kerry, I think) and that may have paved the way for Clinton to approach the idea seriously. The families know each other fairly well.

PS: Do not mention the words "Irish" and "alcohol" in the same sentence here. :-)
