I first must reiterate all that oilbabe said in accolades to you before I begin. I've been lurking here for about a month. SI for about a year. But, you're the reason I've joined. I follow your input religiosly, and having just read your last post about your contrarian friend, I could lurk no more. I too had bought at 62. Prior to this, I had come in and out a few times gaining a few points each time. Then felt the train would leave without me. And, like clockwork it started going the wrong way. Nothing like a little quick profit to make one overly confident. I was holding 1300 shares. And I held right up until the point where even you couldn't explain the stocks behavior and it became more and more evident that something beyond our knowlege was manipulating the stocks behavior. I sold at 38 with the idea that I would start trading it once it dropped to 32 (thinking that, don't ask me why, it would sit there for awhile before dropping again to about 27), and that in so doing I could recoup some of my losses. Do you still hold confidence in trading nite? And, could I trouble you to define exactly what the term "shorting" means. I think I have it confused with something else.
Thank You immensely for sharing all of your experience and knowledge. (I'm certain I'm not the only one who's been lurking here for some time, so while I'm at it, let me thank you for all of them too!)
