I remember paying the premium for both the Mac hardware & software. I was always frustrated with Apple for keeping their system proprietary. I read articles about how Apple's lawyers were intimidating to anyone who came close to Apple's product. I paid $700 for a color printer which was much slower than the HP DeskJet series. The DeskJet was around $350.

I applaud the WINTEL alliance for seizing the opportunity left open by Apple and others. More importantly, I have and will continue to invest in same.
