SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 12, 1998--E4 (Elecede Technologies, Inc.), a leading developer of state-of-the-art DVD , video and graphics products for the Macintosh and PC markets, announced the latest addition to its CoolDVD family of products for the Macintosh.
CoolDVD Mac SCSI DVD -ROM Upgrade Kit is an internal SCSI DVD -ROM kit that replaces the Mac's internal SCSI CD-ROM drive. CoolDVD Mac SCSI DVD -ROM will begin shipping June 15, 1998.

E4 will be shipping the CoolDVD Mac SCSI DVD -ROM Upgrade Kit in addition to the IDE-based Mac DVD -ROM Upgrade Kit that was originally developed for the Power Macintosh G3 series.

E4's CoolDVD Mac SCSI DVD -ROM Upgrade Kit delivers high quality DVD with multiple language capability, multi-subtitle support, Dolby Pro Logic surround sound, and DVD interactivity for any SCSI Mac OS computer with PCI architecture and 603/120MHz processor or faster. A fully integrated movie player/control interface for DVD applications is included. CoolDVD also provides home theater entertainment to the Mac by providing output displays for S-Video or composite TV and a digital audio connector for Dolby Digital (AC-3), 5.1 channel audio. CoolDVD includes a PCI, MPEG II decoder card, SCSI DVD -ROM drive, and free DVD titles.
