k, take away the 'all' and insert 'many' or 'most'

it's using the 'Hungarian' or 'Irishman' or whatever ethnic nationality that puts the prejudice and stereotype in the statement

and I wasn't addressing the Clinton comment directly, but your comment that your Irish- American friends were not averse to jokes, love of gab, drink, or a good brawl - point being they are your friends and you can have that type of inter-action with them

as to public figures, they have a greater responsibility and accountability to not perpetuate the long standing problem of ethnic slurring

having said that, I also believe most are held under a microscope, with the press and enemies blowing every word and nuance of what they say out or proportion - like the cat waiting to pounce on the mouse

I little dose common sense in this stuff goes a long way....
