Well,

Lets assume the market for semiconductors flattens out at twice today's level, several years out. Then, the business becomes essentially like the autos....an ongoing market share battle. If Intel can be like a Boeing...dominate market share globally year in and year out by keeping a heavy foot on the R & D pedal, and maintain healthy margins while doing so, then Iwould guess Intel could go to the 22nd century as a good investment, yes 22,

on the other more positive hand, IMHO, every doubling of the CPU's power doubles the size that the semi market can grow to.
and Global semiconductor penetration into man made things is just a thimble compared to its potential.

of course, we're going to need to write a lot of software to take advantage of all that CPU power coming down the pipe......

Maybe the more basic question is this.....if Andy Grove goes to heaven, who is going to replace him?
