I don't think such thing exist at all be it Socket 7, Slot 1, Slot 2
or whatever.

Most of the existing machine that is time for upgrade are those slow
Pentium up to 133. Unfortunately, most of them cannot be easily
upgraded to higher speed CPU let alone taking advantage of the
new 100Mhz FSB.

So the reality is when one wants to upgrade, it is usually
CPU + MB. And this is for home user or small firms who because
of budget reason opt for that and do the swapping themselves.

For typical firms using brand name machines, it is
more likely that people just purchase some totally
new machines and sold the used one(it one can) or
transfer those(slow Pentiums) to users running 486.
