Short Aetna (AET) as an intermediate to long-term play (6-12 months).

This company is a major dog in a highly competitive market with several well-run HMO's as competition. It's management (actually, mismanagement) is on a par with other classics such as MOT, LU and Xerox. AET could easily go from $27 to $16-17 dollars over the next 6-12 months. May not sound like much, but it is a 40% profit. Access the link below for a concise synopsis of AET's problems.
