I read the press release, and all I can say is OUCH!!! Things look so bad that I would not be shocked if there is a delayed opening, followed by a BIG drop in the stock price. 1. Given the way that they state the financials, it makes the acquisition costs (the $86m) look like part of continued operations. This will make momentum players who take a quick glance panic. 2. Inventory related losses (who knew - serves me right for not doing my homework) 3. Disappointing sales for their key produts Given how bad the news seems to look, why no earnings warning? I may be wrong, but it looks like they had close to a dollar a share loss (without the acquisition costs) versus estimates of <.03>. C'est la vie. Who knows - maybe tommorow will result in a buying opportunity.
