Actually, John Galt didn't have all the answers... if he had, he would've been the person who would've owned the land that Midas Mulligan purchased... and he would be rich.

As far as we know, John Galt wasn't rich. John Galt was an opportunist who saw good men and brought them to the promised land. If he had all the answers, he would've have brought the musicians, artists, and productive talent to the land.

It took him 12 years to get his woman, didn't it?

John's even worse than a man who has all the answers... he has the capability to look at a situation without bias and judgement and then lay down judgement after careful research. He's ideal, but not because he knows everything. He's ideal because he's truly objective.
