Business Leaders to Plot Tech Recovery CEOs Fiorina, Siebel, Willner Head Program at Aspen Summit
WASHINGTON - Hewlett-Packard’s Carly Fiorina, Siebel Systems’ Tom Siebel, and Insight Cable's Michael Willner head an all-star lineup of business leaders scheduled to speak at The Progress & Freedom Foundation's Aspen Summit 2001, to be held August 19-21 in Aspen, Colorado. The two-day conference will focus on how to rejuvenate the ailing IT sector of the U.S. economy.
“The meltdown in the tech sector is the biggest single issue facing the U.S. economy,” said PFF President Jeff Eisenach. “This year’s summit will focus on what’s needed to get things back on track.”
The annual Aspen summit is a two-day conference that includes leading business executives, policymakers and opinion leaders. Fiorina’s address will kick the conference off at a Sunday evening opening dinner.Siebel will deliver the keynote address on Monday, August 20, while Willner will discuss broadband deployment Tuesday morning, August 21. The conference concludes Tuesday evening.
