Because if you don't, the Dems will lose power almost as quickly as they gained it. Then we'll continue this endless partisan cycle of blaming others for faults we don't feel like fixing.

I appreciate your concern over the Dems losing power but its not about to happen anytime soon. First, because the GOP still doesn't get it and remains corrupted. Secondly, it takes a while for a party to get so comfortable they think they are above the law. Having said that, the GOP took the whole scenario to new heights.
