Civil war, I know the south and Lee should have followed Longstreet's idea of pulling back to a good defensive position to fight from at Gettysburg, just as we should pull back to a good defensive position to fight form in Iraq.

After the war because lOngstreet wanted everyone to work together to rebuild the south and because he told the world of Lee's mistake at Gettysbure ergo "Pickets Charge" they cast massive amounts of hate toward him.

Longstreet was one of the south's and Lee's best and loyal generals and terribly mistreated by the south at the end of his life.
