Been short before. Not here (no man's land), stock can trade back to $34/s then down to $22. Not a good risk reward for me on the short side, particularly when they aren't going to miss their EPS. I just think that the mgt team and salesforce of CDN has done some very questionable/aggressive things from a sales/accounting viewpoint and for as much trashing of AVNT that they do they might want to look inward at their own business practices. The whole song and dance about AVNT being theives if way old. Customers don't want to here it, shareholders are sick of them spewing PR about it and wasting their time and money pursuing a product that AVNT hasn't sold in 1-2 years. From a product and strategy standpoint, the best thing that this industry could seen is a merger between SNPS and AVNT. Talk about technology leadership (SNPS/AVNT), customer control (SNPS), and overhead reduction (SNPS is weigh fat in my opinion). That company would scare the sh-t out of JH and RB at CDN. I guess they could sue SNPS then. IMOO.
