A Rebound In The Economy Will Cause The Price Of The Stock To Be Bid Up Further Not to mention the fact that there are a significant number of risk factors associated with a rebound. Including but not limited to: Corporate and Personal debt at record levels not with standing the fact that we have completed almost a decade of strong growth. A significant erosion of the real capital base, which in fact is probably the most significant factor effecting an economies growth, due to the distortions introduced into the capital markets associated with the tech/internet hype and bubble. Aging demographics A money supply which has been distorted by arrogant politicians and business leaders who think that they can manage better than the free market, not to mention repeal the cyclic nature of prosperity. Short of developments like cold fusion and perpetual motion, the future of the US economy will be much like that experianced, and still being experianced in Japan. Except we won't have the US to bail us out.
