Well, I don't want you to feel ignored, so I'll make this very limited reply, but please keep in mind that I'm not one of the techies on this thread, just an investor.

Fat client refers to what you probably have at home: a PC with all kinds of bells, whistles, local storage (hard drive, CDROM, etc.) and resident applications. It is a code-heavy jabba the hut.

Thin client refers to something like a network computer wherein you will have a powerful processor and lots of RAM but little need for storage, as anything you want to do will come from a server. Hopefully a SUNW server so that we will all be rich.
