indexit, about five weeks ago after getting the HD replaced and reloading win98, I did all the upgrades - took a LONG time.
Net result, same problem.
However since upgrading to WIN ME, I figured I didn't need to do the win98 upgrades, right?
I did defrag twice but haven't done it since installing
WIN ME... do you think I should give it a try?
What can it hurt, eh?
I know you'd rather talk stocks than listen to my computer problems,
and so would I, but if I can't get this resolved soon, I'll
have to revert to the old Gateway and it's too slow (lacking memory, ram, and MHz) for me to both trade and post.
Even the available upgrades wouldn't achieve much.
I'll give the defrag another go. Thanks again.
BTW, I've got a couple of MACs but have never connected
to the internet with them. And don't know if any of the
trading software would even work. |
