Hello! Jack,

**** OFF TOPIC ****

While some of us wait patiently to see what the future holds in store for the NYRR Scenario ( in my opinion/guess I think the NYRR Shareholders are going to be rewarded in a positive way before the end of Dec/1998--but as I said just my opinion!)--and since this thread has been fairly quiet lately--I thought I would throw out this hypothetical / ficticious scenario.

This is intended for thought provoking stimulation--nothing else--but I wanted to see if any one has maybe had such a situation or scenario surrounding any of their investments in the past.

Here it goes. Let's pretend that an investor has taken a very large long share position in a company--but as time passes and the company does not take any of the recommendations from the large shareholder to heart--this ficticious shareholder gets disenchanted with the company and decides to divest of his/her investment.

Now! Here is my question for the participants of this thread---
---If any of you had a very substantial large stock position in a stock would you (A) announce to the world how disenchanted you are with the company --wait until the stock price starts going down and then start selling your shares? OR ( B ) Slowly sell your shares and not announce your discontentment with the company until you have fully divsted of your shares at the best prices you could get.

I am certainly no stock guru ( I wish I was!) but one could almost speculate that someone with a large share position announcing that they are selling ---could it be that they would not mind seeing the stock price going down if by chance their real intention was to actually see the price go lower in the short term with the real intent to accumulate more shares at lower prices?

Just some food for thought on this quiet market day! (At least for my stocks!)

Having said all this --here is my current speculative thoughts surrounding NYRR---namely does any one else find it strange or unusual that after all the trading volume that NYRR has experienced a while ago--and with some of the good things that some of us are speculating will happen --thatthe NYRR Management is remaining suspiciously quiet?

Here is my speculative guess as to what in my opinion I think is going on---I'm speculating that there is a group of investors, competitors, whatever, that feel that NYRR are not playing ball with them and as a result are trying to undermine some of the recent NYRR efforts to move the value of NYRR forward.--As a result--it is my guess that the NYRR Management may be intentionly holding back positive news and business developments until they can determine and understand and take the appropriate course of action against those that maybe do not have the same best wishes for the future for NYRR Management and it's shareholders? ( Just my own opinion and guesswork!)

My speculative signal that I pick up from this opinion--for me I think it's time to buy more NYRR at these current price levels!

Highly speculative? Yes! But I'm a gambler--and how many railroads does anyone know of that can be purchased for under .25 cents per share? It will be fun to reflect back at year end and see where the NYRR Saga has taken us! JMO!

Jack! I reviewed Paisley's recent postings and my take on them is that he is a supporter of NYRR and he is only communicating in a style that gets some reaction! See! it worked ! It got your attention!

I have come across some growing interesting rumors on NYRR but they are too sensational in nature to post--( at least in my opinion!)--my guess is that there are more of you out there that have been made aware of certain rumors. JMO!

Take care Everyone!

Wayne J.
