OK Adam, let's get out the gloves!

Rather than send jabs back and forth, and diminish the quality of useful information on this thread, I will describe in one (or two if I get wordy) post(s), my opinions about FORE and some of the statements you have made here. Keep in mind, the key word here is OPINIONS.

I am not trying to attack you personally, but rather to help reinforce the fact that people should be very careful to analyze anything they read, and not blindly accept it as the truth. In the investment world the past is all history, and the future is all opinions. If I had a crystal ball, I wouldn't be reading all these posts to help form my opinion. Although I find it extremely entertaining to read posts for companies that have recently experienced dramatic price changes (both before and after the event).

Let me start with some of the things that have been said.

Post #3253 you printed an "excerpt" about the growth of the networking sector. What was conveniently omitted was the fact that they were talking about Cisco, Ascend, Cabletron, and 3Com (see post #3255).

Then there was the "hunch" series. Although extremely amusing, there was no substance (or even thought provoking opinion) to any of it. It seems like the apparent hunch referred to an announcement from March 3rd.

Microsoft Joins FORE Systems' ForeThought Partners Program

PITTSBURGH -- FORE Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: FORE), a worldwide leader in networking products based on asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology, today announced that Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT), the world leader in software for personal computers, has become a ForeThought(TM) Partner. In a previous announcement, FORE and Microsoft announced that Microsoft has licensed FORE's LAN Emulation Client code for inclusion in future versions of Windows 95 and Windows NT. The inclusion of the code will provide easy-to-use, cost-effective, and interoperable ATM solutions for PC users.

Then there is the incessant cheerleading. I don't mind a little moral boosting, but when Congress takes Friday off being a signal to buy FORE... Get real! Or every downturn being normal profit taking. The short sellers are the only ones making profits here.

Enough of that. Continue to the next post for my opinions about FORE...
