Verifone readers please ignore. Hey Andrew, can I ask you a basic question on Microsoft? Forgive my ignorance and maybe you are not the right person to ask but you helped me out once on "n-tier" hype so what the hell? Can you give me your perspective (the 30 second drill) on when Microsoft will start cannabilizing Oracle in enterprise deployments of SQL server and when high-end apps vendors get pricing pressure from MSFT apps from NT/SQL? Forgive the vagueness of this question but I gotta get current on this issue. Specifically, what are the key technical hurdles preventing SQL from competing with Oracle 7 today and Oracle 8 (when it comes out)? I am not an engineer but I do understand some of basics.
