I more or less agree with you, because until bandwidth from the server to the nc/thin client gets a lot higher the NC's are gonna need a local disk for swap, and to cache java classes, at which point they will start looking like PC-LITE PC-lites will BE NC, or at least their niche in the info-techno- eco system will be the same. NC/webtvs are gonna prove whether the 200 to 500$ price point can get more of the 9 out 10 americans who are not ONLINE to be ONLINE. I am looking forward to the imminent increase in diversity, along platform, Software environment, hardware, [inter intra extra]network . . . The interesting times are gonna get more so.
