I suspect that this is the same kind of drop that happened during the previous earnings report. This week, QLT announced a loss of about $0.20 (I think Canadian, or about $0.14US ) and that they were increasing their R&D programs. Revenues haven't exactly skyrocketed.

So I suspect we'll see a week or 2 of pessimism before the market remembers that Phase III AMD trials end within the next couple months.
