It is time to revisit the issue of voter qualifications in all states. The SC got rid of the gimicks that were designed to rig votes in a way much different that what we are seeing today, and that was a good idea. But, like all good ideas, it has gone way too far. There must be rules to ensure that voters are citizens living in the area they are registering in. They must be required to show up on election day, at a designated polling place, and prove their identity. And there must be no more "early" voting at malls, etc. Absentee ballots must only be issued in the strictest of circumstances.

Those, IMO, are BARE MINIMUMS. I personally can't see why registering to vote can't be AT LEAST as challenging as registering to drive. Your potential to endanger the rest of the public is easily equivalent.

It is, purely and simply, time to reverse a trend gone very wrong...
