Shalom, I think you can sense enough about the essential goodness in my heart to know that I meant no offense to you!! I looked all week for the original post you wrote me, and couldn't find it because I have been having major computer problems, and can not access anyone's profile to read the messages they wrote, or go back far enough in the Feelings thread to find the messages I want to discuss.
I guess it will always be hard for Christians do understand why pagans fear them or are offended by them, and since I do not want this to become the Ask God thread, I won't say any more.
You have been a positive and interesting presence in my life, Shalom, and have made me think and really concentrate on articulating my feelings about Christianity, which is a gift. Thank you. I understand that you don't need anyone to mediate on your behalf, but I don't tolerate rudeness easily or gladly on this thread, so I would like to make sure no one is offended. This is the only reason I might mediate anything.
Shalom, I'm not sure why you brought Larry Flynt into this discussion. For the record, I don't agree in any way with the way he debased women. Further, I am monogamous, and cannot separate love from its sexual expression. I can worship the moon and the stars and the trees and the ocean until the end of the world, but I could never make love to a man with whom I was not in love. In fact, I think it is one of the major myths of paganism that all pagans are wanton in a sexual sense.
I really think our values are very similar, Shalom, so I go in peace in the same way that you do, and wish you a very happy Valentine's Day!!!
