No, Bush wanted to run against Gore or Lieberman. Or even Daschle or Gephardt. He fears Kerry and Edwards in that order. Don't believe me but Democrats are going to back the winner this time. Few Dems wanted Gore to run and that's why he dropped out. Also, Greens will join in to defeat Bush this time. And many vets and Buchanons conservatives who dont trust Bush. And the Jesse Ventura vote. Watch for Jesse to endorse Kerry.
