That is a point to ponder, but it is moot. One of the main reasons that AMD's K6 can perform as an equal on a benchmark to the Pentium 2 is due to the bus speed. Imagine that you had to travel from the west coast to the east coast. You had your cruise control set at 65 MPH. But, in the middle of the US, let's say the state of colorado, you can do 150 MPH. One you leave colorado, you have to do 65 MPH. If you crunch the numbers, you will realize that your overall speedup in the trip isn't that much.

Once Intel comes out with a 100 MHz bus, there will be a much wider GAP in peformance when comparing the Pentium Pro's or Pentium 2's with the Deschutes.

Speaking of GAPs, I wonder how our boy VK is doing. Hey, VK, please post that story again. I want to laugh at how sorry your life really is.....
