Just a thought here regarding EV and what's required to keep them going in the USA .....

According to a recent survey there are about 270 Million registered vehicles in the USA ....



Let's say at some time in the future 1/2 of them were replaced with Electric Vehicles due to "Legislation" requirements, so that's 135 Million EV's.

Let's say that at any particular time in the day 1/4 of them were on Charge, so that's about 34 million.

I have to wonder what effect that would have on the National Electricity Grid seeing as that would be over and above the demand that the Grid has to supply at the present time ?
