According to my sources, it was a transaction between two marketmakers. From a personal experience I know that withthin this old boys' network (NASDAQ), it is more than easy to move relatively large blocks without causung spikes on the chart as opposed to mutual fund buying say 30,000 shares and causing a spike up of 1/4 to 1/2.

Also, mutual funds rarely, if ever, buy in 1M share increments. They do sell in this fashion, though :).
