And I liked windows. I guess that's what makes a market place.

And I had the choice, I did not go with lotus spreadsheet because I couldn't figure out which of the 23 new versions was the least obtuse, so I continued using my old version, and I didn't use notes because although the concept was excellent, the guts of it was really email, and IBM software was needlessly complicated, and very expensive. Remember RPG?

And in the early years, MS worked for IBM. IBM could have squashed them like a bug. This is not exactly a position of strength. These are the facts.

The article and the findings of fact exaggerate MS's market power at that time.
