Another Obama administration official has cashed out. From a press release from K St. firm Holland & Knight:

<<< Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Moe Vela has joined the firm's Washington, D.C. office as a Partner in the Public Policy and Regulation Group. Vela will focus mainly on business development and providing strategic counseling to firm clients, such as developing government relations strategies on the federal, state and local levels....

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Vela served in the Obama Administration as Director of Management & Administration in the Office of Vice President Biden. Vela's main duty in this role was to manage the daily operations of the Vice President's office....

"I'm pleased to be joining such a great team of professionals, and I'm looking forward to using my experience and relationships to build on the broad expertise and excellent reputation that Holland & Knight enjoys..." >>>

Holland & Knight's clients include AT&T, Biotech Industry Organization, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Dow Chemical, UAL, UPS, and dozens more.

Obama pledged to "close" the "revolving door between K Street and the executive branch." He hasn't done this. At least 45 former lobbyists currently hold senior policymaking jobs in the administration. More importantly, Vela is at least the fourth official to cash out of the Obama administration. Here's my running tally so far:

Oscar Ramirez: Department of Labor -> Podesta Group
Damon Munchus: Treasury Department -> Cypress Group
Grant Leslie: Agriculture Department -> Glover Park Group
Moe Vela: Office of the Vice President -> Holland & Knight
