OT I don't know of this has already been posted Big Mea Culpa At First Call Slashes 1st-Qtr Profit View First Call Corp., the widely followed research company, overstated 1.quarter earnings estimates for S&P 500 companies after failing to catch a big error by a contributing brokerage. Last week, First Call reported that analysts expected S&P 500 companies to earn about 12.6% more in the first in the first quarter than a year ago. The correct figure is 6.2%
