I don't know why all of you on this thread are so against the new Health Care bill. After thorough review, my lunch buddies and I now fully understand Obama's grand plan and it is brilliant! 1) Medical Home implementation and other improvements will gut Medicare 2) Funding freed up from #1 permits extension of Medicare to additional populations 3) Less service from #1 combined with slow delivery of pandemic vaccines helps solve the Social Security Crisis (permitting more #2) 4) Slowing the delivery of new products and medicines permits the mix of generics vs under-patent drugs to increase reducing pharmacy expenditures (resulting in more of #2 & #3) -> to really get things going he might just get rid of medical and pharmacy patents altogether (after all - profiting from health care is evil --> unless your a lawyer) 5) Slowing the delivery of new procedures will (along with #4) slow or stop the increasing life-span issue currently creating the actuarial problems we have with medicare and social security (resulting in more of #2 & #3) After this is done this weekend, his crew will move on to our food supply! Soylent Green anyone? :-)
