Re: AMD forms chip technology alliance with IBM Joe, thank you for the information! I am not sure what to make out of it. Is it good news because AMD allies with the undisputed leader in the SOI process? AMD has done several very successful license deals recently (EV6 bus, Motorola copper process). This one may be another thoughtful business decision leading to another success story. Or is it bad news indicating that the Motorola SOI process doesn't work and that AMD has already lost a lot of time and money experimenting with a non-functional process? Is it just a sign of desperation because the original goals cannot be reached any more? Any comments? Peter
