Dear Fuzzymath: I am not fond of software companies this year. Most are down, I am not sure whether it is Y2K related (ie everyone bought all they needed in the process of becoming compliant or else budgets all spent) or equipment related (ie awaiting new hardware upgrades) but the result is the same. In my case I go with themes. My two major themes are Communications and Internet Infrastructure. I think both have great growth prospects. So my stocks usually relate to those two themes, although sometimes I just go for fancy technology like MVIS but even there that could relate someday to communication. JDN
