There was a lot of conjecture there. But it still remains true that market orders on the open are a lousy idea anywhere, Datek or Brown.

I can also agree that Datek doesn't have kick back contracts with wholesalers. Does Brown?

I'll take my chances with ISLAND and Datek when the market gets really squirelly as it did on Friday a week or two ago. I think if you remember that far back that Datek was about the only online discount broker that was getting trades through. How did Brown and Company fare durning that paticular problem?
