Yeah Don, MSFT's first selloff shoulder in December is 140 and previous to those highs 140 proved to be a resistance. I see it as a quick play not one to hang with if it proves wrong.

Look at this weekly chart: iqc.com

MSFT stochastics rsi and momentum are low range and the trading has formed a horizontal channel between approx 146 and 11t. While the price has reclaimed a lot of lost ground, the indicators show the pressure coming from worries with the Justice Department. In all it looks like price has shrugged off much of the government threat, while sentiment has compressed an upside breakout IF MSFT wins anything in court... that's where the risk is... IF they win anything in court they will go to 150 in a heartbeat and split.

So, yes, hang short term puts on the earnings and be ready to take your bet off the table with some profits very quickly.
