When I was younger, I often wondered how it was that minor things like the assassination of the unpopular Austro-Hungarian archduke in 1914 could create a war that had so many intrigues and separate fronts, or how WW II could be fought in so many countries simultaneously. I've got a better inkling these days. Once King George sends the boys into Baghdad, there's essentially nothing to stop the Chinese from exerting their will on Taiwan, or the Russians from perpetrating a new genocide on Chechnya, or the Balkans from becoming embroiled in some crazed internecine battles. With the Bushies pre-occupied, there's a whole host of regional scores to be settled. And I haven't even mentioned the Big Kahuna. The Sharon crime operation. Once they decide to flex their muscle, and maybe heave a nuke or two, it's Katy bar the door, World War III is gonna start roaring out of anyone's control. Makes one wonder if Bush is playing with a full deck..... Ciao!
