Nonsense. I've been a libertarian since before there was a Libertarian Party. Governments do have legitimate functions where is makes sense. For instance: there is a legitimate need to protect ourselves collectively from despots like Hitler. Monopolies are not free markets. Governments should not fiddle frivolously with business but monopolies are another matter, unless you wish to be ruled by a business.

You'd be singing another tune if you had a business and Microsoft went after you, in business or in court.

And how could it be politically motivated? Microsoft has far more money to contribute (bribe) public officials and politicians than almost any other entity in the world. They're not stupid they grease both the Demos and the Republicans.

Microsoft is getting away with murder because the Justice department is: 1) corrupt and bought off 2) the Justice Department moves so slowly and is so incompetent (especially tech incompetent), and tech moves so quickly, that by the time they slap Microsoft on the wrist it will be far to late to have any effect.
