(6764) Monday released a 36-inch-screen television set that can receive Sky PerfecTV digitalbroadcasting programs sent via a communications satellite, in addition toterrestrial broadcasts. The company hopes to sell 1,000 of the television sets, priced at 480,000 yen, permonth initially. A stand designed to accommodate the television set is soldseparately for 60,000 yen. The Media Teio HVC-36WCS2 televisionincorporates a tuner that receives data from both PerfecTV and Sky digital broadcasting services, the first such product to come onthe market.
