Oh really? Even a dolt like you should know that the poll tax was designed to keep Southern blacks from voting Republican! If I were to promote a poll tax (which I have not) it would not be for that purpose.

Read my original words, they were written as a lament to your idiocy, not a prescription that I believe had any chance of being enacted:

Dragonfly proves that we need fewer people voting, not more. Remember in the last election cycle the Dems signed up all those illegal aliens and other non-citizens to obviate the votes of US citizens. We need laws enacted that reduce the massive voter fraud that Dems promote.

Dragonfly amply shows that we also need some form of political literacy test that ensures some minimum, basic knowledge before people are allowed to vote. An uninformed vote is worse than no vote at all and maybe Dragonfly and his ilk would learn something after being refused a score or more times.

I'm sure the Founding Fathers would agree with my lament and support a political literacy test that promotes informed voting.

While an informed elctorate may be a fantasy promoted by non-Dems, I'd just be happy if the Dems were prevented from getting non-citizens to vote illegally.
