Thanks Tony. I appreciate the spec sheat on the LS-120. It, and the URL will be useful.

But how is this an answer to my question?

>>All: One more thought on the LS-120. Has it occurred to anyone else >>that the LS-120 must be un-manufacturable AT THIS TIME?

>Well, it hasn't occured to Compaq:

I'm sure it is quite apparent to Compaq. They announced that they will not have a laptop version of the LS-120 until "first half 97". Now, we all know this means June 1997, right?

And, Compaq has been unable to ship the desktop internal LS-120 in volume, right?

And there is no external LS-120 even announced, let alone available, right?

I conclude that at this time the LS-120 is un-manufacturable at the needed price point. I would like to here someone displute this conclusion. Are my facts or my reasoning incorrect?

A spec sheet tells us what they intend to manufacture. It does not tell us that they can do so for under $200. It certainly doesn't tell us that they are doing so NOW.
