Asia DRAM Report: Inventory Clearing May Hit Prices

TAIPEI -- Spot prices of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips have shown signs of relative stability in recent weeks, but industry experts warn that growing inventory levels at key chipmakers could mean trouble.

With U.S. chip giant Micron Technology Inc. (MU) due to report full-year results by the end of this month, many fear an inventory clear-out by the company could send DRAM spot prices sliding to new historical lows.
