Maliki, leader if Iraq, just called for a timetable for US pull out of Iraq. US has not responded. Iraq has said previously no US troops can stay in Iraq.

What is going on here, IMO, is the shia's (with Iran's help) feel they can now crush the sunnie. The US wants the shia to give the sunnie 20% of the oil revenues (percentage of their population). The shia have no intention of giving the sunnie anything.

Once the US gets out the shia will crush the sunnie and exact revenge for the 30 years of torture under sadam, take all the oil and put a shia cleric in control as leader.

We will have to try and somehow protect the kurds. Shia would like their oil as well (Kirkuk e.g.) Not sure how that will work.
