Not starving as a standard of care?

Well, I wouldn't to bet money on that. Had certain Republican factions had their way there would be no, nada, public health insurance for anyone.

If you think the support of two daughters insures the payment of adequate nursing home (not to mention the additional separate cost of medical care and hospitalization) without public assistance call around and price monthly nursing home care fees. Tell me what the cheapest monthly price is for a private pay resident. (Could you pay it for your parent? Well, maybe. But what if Mom suddenly experienced a bout of congestive heart failure to the tune of 40K? And then another one? Money getting a little tight? You bet it is.) Then after touring the cheapest nursing home in town tell if you'd kennel your dog there.
